Earlier this week, Rivals.com reported that four-star point guard Darius Perry may not need much longer to make a decision and that has turned out to be the case.
An aggressive and physically tough point guard who likes to attack off the dribble, Perry is a typical Pitino-style guard. He plays fast and he's capable of pressuring as a defender. He's got big upside as he learns to cut down on mistakes committed out of being too aggressive and hones his jumper.
Earlier this week, Perry told Rivals.com that he grew up watching the Cardinals.

“I’ve always liked them since I was little," Perry said. "Me and my dad always watched them and thought that was a school that fit my style of play. I didn’t watch Georgia as much, but when I did, I liked the way they play too. Just the factor of Rick Pitino is cool too.”

With Perry now in the fold, the Cardinals have commitments from a pair of high-profile 2017 prospects. He joins power forward Malik Williams, who ranks No. 35 overall as early Louisville commitments.
