Updates from D1SPECTS and T.R.U. ELITE Memorial Day Tournaments

Kennesaw Elite 12U ORANGE Nike Travel Squad pulled off a 6th grade Division Championship at the D1SPECTS Memorial Day Classic at Therrel High School in Atlanta.

13U squad struggled with some high level competition and left with 51-43 quarterfinal loss.  12U BLUE is still playing, heading to Pebblebrook High School for Memorial day tomorrow to play in the quarterfinals of the T.R.U. ELITE Memorial Day Classic.  So far, blue has taken 2 out of three, defeating the Higher Goal Heat 41-35 and the Gainesville Hurricanes 44-32.  They have a very good chance of making the finals.

So far, ORANGE has benefitted from stellar play from the bigs - Kevin Hester and Tyrese Crawford, as well some major quality minutes from TJ Black.  North Cobb High School's future seems to be in good hands with their player's development so far.

Cameron Cherry (North Paulding High School) continues to extend his scoring proficiency.  Through three games he leads the team in scoring and is number one in the tournament in 3-pointers.  Alex Windham (Allatoona High School) and Jordan Veneziale (NPHS) had impressive performances in the paint against the Hurricanes.

Watch for finals updates from TRU ELITE tomorrow night.
